We are sad to announce that, after two years in Overboard, Jeff Eames will be leaving the group at the beginning of June and moving to California. We will miss his flawless tuning, his on-stage charisma and that weird face he makes in all of our pictures (you know the one we mean…) and wish him all the best in his new adventure.

3 songs nominated for 2012 CARAs

Three of our songs from Free Track Tuesday were nominated for 2012 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARAs). Our version of “Moves Like Jagger” which features Hannah Juliano (from Berklee’s PitchSlapped, Musae and Delilah) was nominated for Best Pop/Rock Song. Our cover of Ludacris’ “How Low” was nominated for Best Hip-Hop/R&B Song. Our third nomination was for Best Folk/World Song for our cover of the Jónsi song “Hengilás”.

Check out the full list of the 2012 nominees. We’re excited to be amongst some amazing company.

2011 was a great year for us. We were a part of some spectacular shows and made some amazing friends. We’re really looking forward to what 2012 will bring us.

We’re putting together a photo album of the good (and, possibly, awkward…?) times we’ve had in 2011. We could use your help! We’d love to include any pictures or videos you have of/with us. We plan on putting the album online in places like Facebook and Flickr, so it’d be publicly viewable, in case that’s a problem.
